The first is an illustration of a straightforward article about Florida's two BCS championships in three years and its strong foundation to build on that success.

The second piece is about that other guy who was president for the last eight years.

Cranked out this piece over the weekend. It's about Ron Popeil, the man who pioneered the infomercial and brought us such ground-breaking inventions as Spray-On Hair, the Pocket Fisherman, and the Showtime Rotisserie. My angle was that he kind of evolved the entrepreneurial method of sales from door to door to the wider-reaching medium of television. I'll get some feedback today, so we'll see what happens . . .

New piece. Needs a few tweaks, but here it is as of now. It's about Markus Frind, the dude that invented PlentyOfFish.com, the biggest dating website in the country. He makes tens of millions of dollars a year working like ten minutes a day. Ridiculous.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I was with VCU attending a conference in Qatar. Here is the latest piece that I've finished. The article, from Playthings magazine, is titled, "A Strange Appeal." It talks about the surprising popularity of science and nature toys in today's market. Enjoy.

Here is the new piece I'm working on. It's an illustration of an article about Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United in the English Premier League, and Rafa Benitez, manager of Liverpool. Essentially, Rafa recently lashed out at Fergie in a press conference, and the author explains that getting into mind games with Fergie, who is by far the most successful manager in English soccer, is counter-productive because he will always come out on top.

This is the sketch that I'll be working from.

The Rolly Polly Greedy Little Boy

Here is one of the last pieces I did last year. It's an illustration of a fairy tale I wrote called, "The Rolly Polly Greedy Little Boy." Basically, it's about a little boy who loved all kinds of food but never got to eat anything good because his family was poor. One day, he stumbles upon an old fence with a magical tree and a small cottage inside. Instead of fruit, this tree grows every kind of food imaginable. The little boy finds a hole in the fence and visits every day to stuff his face full of food, but he never bothers to find out who lives in the cottage. One day, the evil wizard who lives in the cottage and owns the tree sees the little boy and chases him out of the tree. The boy goes to dive through his hole in the fence, but he's eaten so much that he gets stuck and is never heard from again.
